Puppy Love Dogs always strives to offer excellent services at great prices, with a focus on training results and fun for you and your pup. We have successfully worked with dogs of different breeds and different behavior problems.

Have a large breed that is out of control? We can have your dog walking nicely on leash in just a few private sessions and can work with you on aggression from mild to extreme.

Have a young or small dog that is scared or insecure? Our trainers have helped hundreds of dogs learn to be confident and comfortable around new people, dogs, and surroundings using calm, positive techniques that teach trust and help your dog overcome their fears.

Is your dog jumping, barking, pulling on leash, and generally hyperactive? You don't have to live with it anymore and you also don't have to spend a fortune getting your dog trained! Sign up for our very affordable group classes or private training and you'll be shocked how quickly you can have a calm, obedient, and happy dog!

Problem Behavior Assessment and Modification: Stop unwanted behaviors like barking, chewing, digging, jumping, seperation anxiety, eliminating indoors. Trainign is customized to meet your training goals and is always designed to get you in the driver's seat so that your dog learns to stop bad behavior. 

Basic Obedience: teach commands like sit , stay, down, come, park-it, heal, and leave it. Teach your dog to walk polielty on leash even under heavy distraction and around other dogs.

Puppy Training: learn proper puppy care, how to start your pup on the road to good canine behavior, socialization techniques, and more!

Off Leash Foundation: start training to getoff leash obedience training including long distance commands, come and heel.

Advanced Obedience: Does your dog already have the basics down? If you're ready to go to the next elvel, we can customize a plan to get your dog off leash, doing advanced obedience, distance commands, more difficult distractions, holding positions longer, learning tricks, or trying out some fun and challenging doggy sports. Whatever your dog needs to learn, our trainers can get your pup there.

Aggression Issues: Custom training designed to stop your dog's aggression problems and teach obedience and polite social behavior.

Private sessions take place at our location on the border of Sacramento and Elk Grove. We can conduct sessions at some local parks by special appointment as well.

Saturday Group Obedience Class     (Elk Grove)                        Only $15.00

Beginner's Obedience: Our general obedience classes will teach your dog how to be a polite family pet. Your dog will learn basic commands like: sit, down, come, park-it, tricks and more! Learn methods to stop your pup's leash pulling, jumping, and get your dog to focus on you even with major distractions. Dogs must be up to date on vaccinations and be at least 12 weeks of age. Aggressive dogs are not accepted into this class but are welcome in private training.

 

Advanced Obedience:  This class is geared towards dogs who already have basic obedience and will follow commands like sit, down, and come. Class will focus on more demanding obedience such as heeling, more complicted distractions, holding positions for long preiods of time, and preparing dogs for therapy dog testing or AKC obedience trials.

 

The Details:  Our group classes are "drop in" classes meaning that you do not have to sign up for a certain number of sessions in a row. Simply come to class when you can make it! Class is held at Jack Sheldon Park at the intersection of Orange Ave and Florin Mall Rd (next to the soccer field).  If it is raining, class is canceled! Please check our facebook status prior to class to find out if class is canceled for any reason.

 

Beginner's is from 10-11am

Advanced is from 11am-12pm

Doggy on the Move                                                                     Only $75.00 for 6 sessions!

Doggy on the Move: is a class designed to build your dog's drive and confidence, learn and practice obedience in an exciting new way, exercise your dog, and have lots of fun learning about all kinds of different canine sports and acitivties. The class will sample one sport or topic at each class and give you some basic information and training on a vairety of activities to do with your dog. Classes will cover the following topics:

   

 ~Drive Building: learn new and exciting ways to motivate your dog and how to  properly use toys as rewards.

  ~Trick Training: learn exciting new tricks and how to put them together into fast and fun trick routines that will keep your dog's brain working!

  ~Frisbee Basics: frisbee training is great exercise and lots of fun for you and your pup. Get step by step instructions on how to start, what type of frisbee to use and what you can teach your dog to do in just a short period of time!

                                            

~Scent Tracking: teach your dog to track the human scent and put his or her nose to good use! You'll be amazed at what your dog can do.

~Agility Fun: show your dog how to dive through tunnels, go over jumps, and navigate through different fun obstacles. Learn how much fun agility can be (this class is not designed for those who want to compete in agility).

 ~Competition Obedience: go beyond basic obedience to learn how competitive obedience works. Learn how to heel, finish, stack, and otherwise show off your dog's wonderful obedience in a fun and relaxed environment!

Class costs only $75.00 if you register before April 1st. Classes run on the following Saturdays: April 11th and 18th, and May 2nd, 9th, 16th from 12pm-1pm at our South Sacramento Location.

Board and Train

Puppy Love Dog Training offers a unique Board and Train program, customized to your training needs. Your dog will receive multiple daily sessions of training to teach obedience commands and break bad canine habits.

Your dog will also be a part of our Custom-Care boarding program where they will participation a vairety of fun activities, receive tons of personal attention, and get yummy treats each night!

Does your dog need to learn the rules of potty training ? How about a refresher course for a dog that is having accidents! Puppy Love Dogs is here to help. We have developed a board and train program just to meet the needs of those dog owners who need to potty train their dog. The program runs for 2 weeks and costs only $550.00 for your pup's boarding and training combined. When you come back to pick up your dog, they will be trained to go potty outside (or on a pad if you request). We'll also provide you with tips and tricks to ensure your dog never revets back to their old habits!

Is your dog a Canine Good Citizen?

Puppy Love Dogs is proud to offer Canine Good Citizen testing and certification through the American Kennel Club (AKC). Testing is $30.00 and can be scheduled by emailing us. You can also work with a trainer specifically to help your dog prepare for passing the Canine Good Citizen's test.
